Code Blue SP

Something good/bad with Japanese series, they might have a special episode. I'm still waiting for rookies. In my opinion, I don't think they do as well in their SP compared to their normal series run.

I just noticed that my last post was on 28th Dec, it isn't that I've stopped watching any dramas, but i'm watching so many at the same time that its hard to even complete one.! Currently watching: East of eden, Boys over flowers, Family outing. All of these three dramas/variety hasn't even finished airing.

See post on Code Blue. The drama series was REALLY GREAT. There wasn't any significant dull moments. However, I was throughly disappointed with the SP episode and I found myself fast-forwarding alot! The good parts were nonetheless their rescue antics, though still not as heart-pumping in the drama.

On Yamapi, I'm so sick of his frown and if you're looking for a smiling Yamapi, watch him in Nobuta wo produce. It's probably my favourite drama of his.

Sad to say, I seemed to realise that during those dull moments, I never had a favourite character but after the SP episode, I came to like Toda Erika.

All in all, what a disappointment that it was such a filler episode. And still no romance.

Ratings: 6/10. You would still want to watch it after you've watched the drama.

My Mighty Princess

I had my doubts about this show- cheesy title; unknown cast; weird costumes; the mixed guy doesn't look that cute (look at daniel henney). Still, out of boredom, I played it.. and it started with the kung-fu era.
the back of my mind screamed, "off it sam! it would be terrible"

10 minutes later, it started to bore me out. The girl had supernatural strength, not pretty. Was really tempted to turn it off.

Into the show, story unveils, it turned out to be pretty good when the storyline took me by surprise. The romance saved it and it was only until the remaining 30 minutes that I realised who the main male lead was.! I'm super dense, sorry. And the female lead was the one who acted in was the one in the terrible show with rain.- A love to kill and one which I would like to watch soon- The devil.

Ratings: 7.5/10 -too draggy at the front, but still good.

Code Blue

Code blue, like any other Japanese drama, it doesn't disappoint in the area of storyline. However, since I'm a sucker for romance, the show doesn't satisfy me very much. Nevertheless, every episode just draws you in and there is never a dull moment.

Yet another Yamapi film. He gets all the really suave and heroic roles which brings him up to fame despite his lack of musical talents. He's such a cool man with few words that I don't think he exceeds 10 lines in every episode, yet he still shone brightly in this show.

Here comes the cool part,

sypnosis from wiki:
The "Doctor Helicopter" system was legalized in Japan in June 2007. A medical team is dispatched to the patients on a helicopter to provide medical care in the field as soon as possible. One day, four young physicians are assigned to this latest medical system. The doctors experience traumatic medical situations, deal with personal ambitions, witness the fragility of life, and they grow personally and professionally.

Doctors on a helicopter. Now wouldn't that be exciting enough. But, I've got to mentioned that this show is not recommended for the faint hearts. They operates on the patient right at the accident site. Several times I had to close my eyes despite knowing that they're just cutting rubber, it just seemed too real.

Trust me, this would not disappoint.

Baby and I

Baby and I! I've been waiting forever for this and I happend to stumble upon the link in a forum, I doubt it would be released in Singapore.

Baby moon acting.

my personal favourite.

I have a more than a hundred photos of moon in my comp. Every single one of them would make your inside melt.

I wonder why can't korean films have good, gripping story lines. They have good tear-jerking lines and scenes, but you have a good cry and forgot what it was later.

I love the cast!

Jang Geun-suk as Han Joon-su
Moon Mason as Baby Woo-ram
Kim Byeol as Film student Kim Byeol

If you havent got a clue who Moon Mason is, read this post. All my ravings about him is in there, so I'll save this space for cutie dad Jang Geun-Suk. Only at 21, he's got a string of impressive dramas under his belt. Beethovan Virus's on my next watch list. And, I think his top part of his facial features resembles Hong Ki.

Storyline: (from wiki)

"Baby and I" is a straight up comedy centered around Jang Geun-suk's character, Joon-soo, becoming a sudden father. In the movie, Joon-soo is a tough 18 year old high school kid that loves to cause trouble. He often gets in fights, once with 17 other guys, but always comes out as the victor. Then one day Joon-soo's parents decides to go out of town. Joon-soo decides then and there to throw a party at his parent's home. He then goes shopping for groceries and comes upon an unexpected surprise. A little toddler sits in a shopping basket wearing the name tag "Han Wooram" and points to Joon-soo as his father!
He then takes the baby home and tries to find the baby's real parents. When he can't find the parents, Joon-soo even tries to abandon the baby but always fails. He then takes the kid to school which causes further scandal and a suspension. But during this time an unexpected event occurs between Joon-soo and Woo-ram…

Ratings: 9.5/10. Light-hearted comedy but it still made me cry. Baby Moon's such an impressive actor!

I AM SAM

After a loonnnng break, I'm sad to admit that I am Sam was the only drama i watched during this long period of time. The rest of the time were spent on variety programs and alot of random music videos.

I am Sam is one of the rare high school korean drama. Teacher-student plot, based on a manga. First few episodes was pretty promising, however, it went downhill in terms of the plot- too bland and i was fast-forwarding from episode 10 onwards. Japan still make the best high school dramas.

The romance in this series is... sorry i just got to say this.. its disgusting. okay maybe its a too strong word to use, but the female lead is too pretty, while the male lead is, ugly and old. (not to be disrespectful, he's quite an actor i must say) The only thing that might be worth watching would be TOP's appearance in this drama. But his air time was too little and his relationship with Eun Byul (Park Min Young) didn't further develop. ARGHHH! He's the only reason why I watched this series.

TOP-shi =)

Moo Shin and Eun Byul. Male lead in blue- blurred. (I'm evil, sorry. HAHA)

I like Park Min Young before watching I am Sam despite not watching any of her shows before. She's got this sweet, cute girl image which doesn't turn you off yet a slight hint of fiesty attitude that pulls you in. I kinda wished I could have half her look.

Kwon Sang Woo's wife, Son Tae Young plays a crazy, clingy teacher who is in love with the ugly male lead. It doesn't make any sense. I guess I sound so superficial, but I like drama leads to look compatible with each other. This drama spoilt her classy image for me.

Ratings: 5/10. Watch it only if you've got a thing for TOP coolness or is a big bang fan.

Family Outing

Watch live streaming or download hardsubs from :http://fofansubs.wordpress.com/episode-downloads-hq-hardsubbed/

This is one of the funniest variety program I've ever stumbled upon. The only reason I watched was because of Lee Hongki (Ft island) appearance on the program. I ended up enjoying the rest of the MCs. That would include big names like Lee Hyori- you'd know that she's the highest paid female singer, diva-ish like- think koda kumi of Japan. She's known for being sexy but you'd be surprised at how hillarious she is living in the village.

Summary: (from http://fofansubs.wordpress.com)
Family Outing is a show that consists of families from the country being given a vacation for 1 night & 2 days. During this time, the hosts of the show and guest(s) form a ‘family’ and look after their house, experiencing the lives of these people. They must complete different chores and jobs listed by the families from the country, and play fun & hilarious games while they’re at it.

Every single one of the MCs are so humourous even though they don't look like it.

Ratings: 8/10. Watch it if you like the guests. Watchable even if you don't know anyone. It was boring at the beginning, but after a little while, I couldn't stop laughing.
