Pasta

Go team Italy!

What an awesome cute cast. Even though they're just a side cast, they're all so drool worthy!

No Min Woo was a drummer from Trax. You know how hot drummers are. He's totally my kind!
Hyun Woo is the cutest guy in the drama. He's so cute, you really really want to pinch his cheeks.
Does such hot guys really exist in the kitchen?

Those are the only two things that are great and the only things I could remember. Kidding, but I did not even finish Pasta. Mainly, its because I don't like ajusshi kind of main character, so he doesnt catch much of my attention. And once again, its the pathetic female role which I'm so bored of. I know it works, like in Personal taste. But they should stop make the female roles look so pathetic!

"Pasta" covers the dreams and success of a young woman who aspires to become an elite chef at La Sfera restaurant.

Seo Yoo Kyung started her career as a kitchen assistant at La Sfera restaurant. She eventually works her way up to become a chef.

Choi Hyun Wook is the top chef at La Sfera restaurant. He studied the culinary arts in Italy and started out as a chef assistant at a hotel in Sicily. Hyun Wook eventually worked his way up to become the most widely recognized Italian chef in Korea.

Right now, I'm craving for a nice plate of Pasta.

Ratings: 6.5/10. Watchable, for the cuties and the awesome pasta professional cooking.

Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge

I love Kame! I love Perfect Girl Evolution, the manga and the anime. There wasn't any reason not for me to catch this. I remembered telling everyone how excited I was over this show. It was slightly disappointing over the wrong casting of the characters, i know that its hard to find a perfect kyohei, but I still really enjoyed it!

Kame is amazing, but he is just not Takano Kyohei. As much as I love him, its just weird that he's kyohei. I'm not complaining, but the Kyohei in the manga is perfect. So perfect that he could not lead a proper life because of his looks. I really miss Kame and his dramas so much. (sigh, i love everything about him)

Oomasa Aya as Nakahara Sunako was surprisingly good. I seriously thought she would definitely not pull off the role after seeing her in Buzzer beat and mei chan no shitsuji. But she did amazingly great as Sunako.

Tegoshi Yuya as Yuki. He was plain gross. No offence to his fans, he was one of my favourites in NEWS. But he overdid it as Yuki.

Uchi Hiroki as Oda Takenaga. I'm upset over the fact that he was kicked out of NEWS, he's so handsome!

Blessed with good looks, Takano Kyohei, a college student, is always suffering from the unreasonable behaviour of customers who want him and the sexual harassment of his store manager. Because of his hot temper, he loses his head on this occasion and is fired from his part-time job. Then one day, the glamorous owner, Ms Nakahara proposes, “I’ll give you free board-and-lodging if you can turn my niece, Sunako, into a lady!” Kyohei and Toyama Yukinojo, Oda Takenaga and Morii Ranmaru, the other guys living together in the same boarding house, are enthusiastic, but the person who appears before the four of them is a spooky girl whose hair covers her face and who loves horror and vampires. And so, their tumultuous communal life begins

Ratings: 8/10. Not amazing, but it gets high points for developing the romance between the two leads. ARHHH the kiss the kiss the kiss that you rarely see in jdrama.

Bloody Monday 2

Being a huge fan of Bloody Monday, I was very excited about Bloody Monday 2. However, it left me very disappointed. The cast was great as usual, especially Haruma Mirura, he really was amazing as a young budding actor. Narimiya Hiroki also never failed to leave a great impression for the show. They were the reason why i continued on with the show. It would have been REALLY dull without both of them.

Seriously, season 2 of Japanese seasons really sucks. They should have just stopped at season 1.

Here's the sypnosis,

After a biological terrorist attack kills off the population of a Russian town; Japan's Public Safety Special Third unit, code name THIRD-i, believes that the terrorist organization responsible plans to unleash the same virus known as Bloody X into Tokyo. Subsequently, THIRD-i recruits the help of genius hacker Takagi Fujimaru to find out what happened in the Russia. However, as Fujimaru becomes involved, he soon finds out that he is in over his head and that the terrorist groups influence reaches not only his school but even the police. Fujimaru must now rely on his skill as a hacker to unravel the organizations sinister plot and find out the truth behind "Bloody Monday."

Really weak terrorist plan, the hacking wasn't exciting anymore. The ultimate bad guy was super random (just like the first season). There wasn't a single exciting episode as compared to Season 1, which I mentioned that every episode was more exciting than a blockbuster movie.

Ratings: 5/10. Blah, still watchable. but nothing that jolted me off my seat.

God of Study

I totally forgot that I have not finished this show. That is not a good sign, which meant that the show was very forgettable.

God of study is the Korean version of the famous Japanese Dragon Zakura. If you were to make a comparison among the two shows, I would choose DZ without hesitation. I was placing high expectations on the Korean version because of Kim Sooro. Even though I do not majorly favour him, he's still family.

Summary
Kang Suk Ho is an ordinary lawyer who decides to take up a job at the nearby high school. After seeing the conditions of the school and the poor grades all the students have, Suk Ho decides to create a special class promising admission to the most prestigious college in Korea, "Chun-Ha-Dae University." Five of the most laziest students - Hwang Baek Hyun, Gil Pul Ip, Na Hyun Jung, Hong Chan Doo, and Oh Bong Goo join the class to in order to prove that they can do it with hard work and dedication.

Let's do a comparison of the cast, shall we?

Kim Soo Ro vs Abe Hiroshi (The main teacher)

Abe Hiroshi wins. I feel that Sooro should just stick to his comedy movies. There wasn't much character development and he was really stiff and boring in the drama.

Bae Doo Na vs Hasegawa Kyoko (The female teacher)

Bae Doo Na wins. The Japanese one was way too annoying. Even after so many years, I can still remember her whining.

Yoo Seung Ho vs Yamashita Tomohisa (The main kid- delinquent)

Acting and cuteness wise- Seung Ho WINS. Character wise- Yamapi. Ultimately, I'll still choose Seung Ho, even though he wasn't bad-ass enough, I really liked his role and the way he portrayed his character. He showed emotions, he fell in love and he showed his tears.

Lee Hyun Woo vs Koike Teppei (The music kid)

This role initially belonged to Lee Hongki, but because he took up you're beautiful, it was given to this kid. Initially he was unnoticeable, but over time, he was really cute. However, I've got to give it to Teppei.

Go Ah Sung vs Aragaki Yui (The poor female kid whom yamapi/seungho likes)

I can't choose, I liked neither of them. Go Ah Sung doesn't look too pleasing to the eye, while Yui was too pretty for the role.

Ji Yeon vs Saeko (The rich female kid who likes seungho/yamapi)

Ji Yeon from T-ara wins. I pity Saeko, I've watched so many of her shows but I just could not remember who she is. Ji Yeon was really good considering she's still so young.

Ratings: 5/10. Boring and very forgettable.

Wild Bunny

I have so many dramas on hand currently, but i cant do any updates because I'm currently waiting for the subs. It feels like I've accomplished so many dramas but I can't get to blog about them just because I'm not done yet.

So here's something I've caught a couple of weeks back, Wild Bunny. After the jaebum and 2pm sasaeng fan accounts saga, I decided to watch this despite that I've never been interested in 2pm. Most importantly, it was to check out if the 2pm members were infact 'evil' as rumored.

After episode 1, the reason that made me continued was because I started to gain interest in Jaebum. He was different from the rest of the members. And yes, like the rest of the 9239123921 people who believes him, I've sort of turned into his fan.

It ended at ep 7, due to Jaebum's myspace controversy. There was an ep 8 preview, but I doubt that they would release it.

Ratings: 7/10 Very entertaining. It'll be over so quickly you wish they would air more episodes.

Nodame Cantabile (Movie)

I was so excited about the release of Nodame movie that I rushed to watch it on the opening day. That seldom happens, but I got to say I was really really really disappointed. The only great thing when you're watching it in the theatre is the good sound system whereby you can really enjoy the orchestra.

The drama was one of the best Japanese dramas I've ever seen. Even the special episode was great. Sure, the movie had many hillarious scenes of Ueno Juri as Nodame which is worth watching, but whatever they were trying to drive in the movie was SO DRY! chiaki trying to raise up a broken orchestra, blah blah, nodame continuing her studies in paris. blah blah. thats all.

I'm not going to mention the ending of the movie. But comparing the endings of the drama and the Europe special episode, this has to be the worst ending.

Ratings: 5/10. Plus points for Ueno Juri.

Autumn's Concerto

From my last post, I swore off from watching TWDramas. But here I was, I think this is the best TWDrama I've ever watched. Not one of the best dramas, but among TWDramas, its really good.

Because of Autumn's Concerto, I think Vanness is really cute, and he doesnt seem to age don't he? These days, it seems like the TWdramas are having the old sappy KDramas storyline. -> Memory loss, a love child, being able to find each other again after years of separation. But you know me, I'm a sucker for tear jerking storylines.

Sypnosis (From dramawiki)

Ren Guang Xi, a cocky law student, seems to lead the perfect life. He's the sole successor to a huge and famous business and a talented ice hockey player. But in reality, his lonely life lacks joy, laughter and motivation. That is until he meets Liang Mu Cheng, the new bento seller at his school canteen. Although orphaned at a young age, Mu Cheng does not let her past affect her and lives life with great passion and determination. A harmless bet brings the two together and Guang Xi slowly changes as Mu Cheng teaches him how to give and love. Tragedy strikes when Guang Xi suddenly has to go through a major brain surgery which causes him to lose his memory. His mother begs Mu Cheng to leave him and the latter has no choice but to do so. Little does she know that she already has Guang Xi's child.

Six years pass. Mu Cheng lives a quiet life with her young son in the countryside while Guang Xi is now a successful lawyer and is engaged to He Yi Qian, the kind and beautiful doctor who took care of him after his surgery. A strangely familiar piano piece stirs Guang Xi's heart as he struggles to recall his past romance with Mu Cheng. How will the couple make up for six years of lost time? Happiness, which stop do I alight at?

Every scene was really good, there wasnt any part which I really wanted to fastforward.

Ratings: 9/10 (a must watch TW Drama. this show has got really good ratings in TW!)
