Cinderella Sister

Almost missed posting this.. too long, too long...

Sypnosis(dramawiki)
A modern day adaptation of Cinderella with a twist as our Cinderella, Goo Hyo Sun, is loved by everyone whereas her stepsister, Eun Jo, has a dark past and struggles with the fact that her mother starts to care more for Hyo Sun than her.

I love the storyline for this! Modern Cinderella story, but the reverse version about the sister.. kind of. Moon Geun Young is a really good actress. I love how she maintains only one expression throughout the show with knitted eyebrows, you could see the sorrow behind that sad face. It was her first role acting such a sad scene.

And for the first time, I liked Taecyeon (2pm), his accent is so cute and for the first time, i found his muscles attractive when he protected her.

Ratings: 7/10 Have no feelings for the male lead. that is sad.

Playful Kiss

*groans* kim hyun joong's bad acting gives me a bad headache.

It was so bad that I had to read the manga to understand what he was trying to portray! please go back to SS501.. and stop acting..
Sorry KHJ fans, no offense but he seem to get worse from BOF. he should get acting lessons from his friend, micky.

Sypnosis(from dramawiki)
Based on the popular manga, Oh Ha Ni is a clumsy student who falls for the perfectionist, Baek Seung Jo. However, Seung Jo is indifferent towards her and rejects her love. When Ha Ni's house collapses, she and her father moves into his long-time friend's house. It turns out that Seung Jo is the friend's son and Ha Ni is given the opportunity to be near the guy she loves. Will she be able to move Seung Jo's heart?

I really like the storyline, I know I'm slow on this, but I'm probably going to start on the TW version soon.

Seung jo is not very attractive!! At times his clothes doesn't look very flattering on him, his hair ohno doesnt suit him too. and kim hyun joong needs more sleep!

Ratings: 5/10. I finished it within two days, not going to bother with the youtube specials. Group 8 is disappointing this time round.

Baker King

One of the long epi drama I've watched in a long time.

Usually, I would be really reluctant to start anything with more than 20 episodes. I wonder made me try this show, maybe i was hungry.. but here goes..

Sypnosis (dramawiki)
Kim Tak Goo is the eldest son of Goo In Jong, the president of Samhwa Enterprise, a legend in the baking industry. Although he is an extremely talented baker and seemed destined to succeed his father as president, Goo In Jong's family plotted to rob him of his inheritance because he was born to In Jong's mistress. Tak Goo's determination to become number one in the baking industry drives him to rebuild his career from scratch despite the many trials he faces.

Yoon Shi Yoon
is a pretty young actor to be the main of a pretty big production film. And he was Hongki(FT island)'s good friend. Plus I have to mention that the viewership for this show was the highest ever. Peak=50.8%, Avg=38.6%. Now that is really high in korea.. The only strange thing was the casting of Eugene, who is my favourite Korean actress. Now the two main male leads are young, in their very early twenties and though Eugene is still beautiful, they look weird together. In other shows, she's already acting as a mom.

Back to the story, I was bawling my eyeballs out when Tak Goo finally met his mom after 12 years. it was one of the saddest scene I've seen in a long time. Now, that's the highlight of the whole show. Even towards the ending, the show was still going great, now i understand why the rating was so high, yet it was never really popular compared to idol-dramas.

Ratings: 8.5/10 A little too draggy and does not require 30 episodes, 20 episodes would very much cover the entire story.

Bad Guy

oh no, it had been awhile since I watched this.. this is bad when i stop blogging for a long time..

Sypnosis(from dramawiki)
Shim Gun Wook (Kim Nam Gil) plots revenge against the Haeshin Group, a large corporation to whom Hong Tae Sung (Kim Jae Wook) is the heir.

ohkayyy. that's short! HAHAH

The thing special about this drama is that it has a very attractive dark story which draws you in. It doesnt make you feel like finishing it very quickly but you'll want to watch it slowly to understand and ponder upon it. That was how I felt when I started Bad Guy. Was my first time watching Kim Nam Gil, he was drawing quite a lot of attention then and I was wondering what was so attractive about this not so attractive looking male lead... sure enough, after watching him act, he really is quite attractive.

It has a strange dark twist in it which is lacking in kdramas these days. Because he's abandoned by this rich family, the story revolves around him plotting revenge on the family. He seduces the older sis, and the younger sis, making both of them fall in love with him. But I find it damn strange that, because they grew up together as siblings when they were younger, how weird and incestuous is this. he then falls for Moon Jae In (Han Ga In) while she tries to seduce the rich son(Jae Wook). Both female and make lead falls for each other even though their purpose is to seduce the rich of the family. that's interesting. rich boy (Kim Jae Wook) is so hot. end of summary. hhhaha

Ratings: 7.5/10. A nice and refreshing storyline however, not much romance loveline because the story seemed too dark and twisted to have one.

My Girlfriend is a nine-tailed fox

Another Lee Seung Ki drama. He seem to always get good roles and good dramas. And true enough, the drama was good!.... at first.

Sypnosis (from drama-wiki)
On one day after Cha Dae Woong ran away from his grandfather, he accidently freed a nine-tailed fox who was closed in a painting for about 500 years. He didn't realize what he has done, until the Gumiho (nine-tailed fox),who took the form of a beautiful woman, appeared in front of him. Dae Woong was really frightened that he ran away from her and fell on the riverbank.Since he was severely injured, Gumiho came to save him and gave him her most precious bead to share with him the mystic fox' strength, as she owes him her freedom. Gumiho then asked him if he can help her become human and how to act like one. In return, she allowed him to use her bead for him to shoot for his dream action movie despite his body's severe condition. As time goes by, their mutual relationship grew deeper as they start to fall for each other.

A very modern unrealistic fairytale. I'm not a fan for fairytale kind of non-human storyline, so I was pretty reluctant to start this, but seeing that it's a Lee Seung Gi show and that I really liked Shining Inheritance, I gave it a shot. Episode 1 to 13(?) was awesome.. and then I stopped. It's strange that I didn't even feel like finishing the show. It wasn't that bad, but the story just dies, and I wasn't the only one who gave up on the show, another 2 of my friends did the same thing too, and we didn't even plan it.

That aside, I never knew Shin Min ah was such a cutie! She had a lot of trademark moves which made me laugh a lot. Seung Gi was kind of disappointing this time round compared to Shining Inheritance. I didn't feel much chemistry between them in the beginning stage, it slightly got better but it still didn't feel like they had much.

As for No Min Woo, he's HOT!!!! he's one of the cutie, hotie in Pasta. And you wouldn't believe that he used to be the drummer for rock band Trax, another hotness plus point. He had more chemistry with Shin Min ah compared to Seunggi, but I have a suspecting feeling that he's gay in real life. like he's tooo perfect.. hahaha!

Ratings: 6.5/10 I can't seem to understand why isit that Korean dramas these days goes downstream towards the end of the show. I haven't enjoyed a kdrama all the way to the final ep in a really long time! I recommended this to many people but I couldn't even finish it myself. argh. it's a forgettable drama.. that's sad.

Sungkyunkwan Scandal

MICKY BEING IN A DRAMA HELPED ME FIND THE MOOD TO START DRAMA-BLOGGING AGAIN!

Love the show, love the cast! however, not too sure about the era of the drama.

Sypnosis (drama-wiki)
Sungkyunkwan Scandal is set in Sungkyunkwan University in the late Joseon era during the reign of King Jeongjo, revolving around the exploits and love stories of four youths. When her younger brother's illness worsens and their family is in danger of being evicted from their house for lack of money, Kim Yoon Hee enters the school under his name, disguised as a boy in her desperation to support him. There, she becomes friends with the intelligent and upright Lee Sun Joon, the playboy Goo Yong Ha and rebellious Moon Jae Shin.

This show is awesome! Never thought that I would enjoy a historical drama. And yes it is another one of those girl disguise as a guy for one of the reason. Ignore the repeating trend, the storyline makes up for it.

Cast:
Micky Yoochun

It's his first drama and he had gotten so much love out of this, you can really tell that he works hard for it while watching the BTS(behind the scenes). He was quite stiff in the first few eps, but his emotions exploded towards the end, his crying scenes made me teared too. ily micky!

Park MinYoung

I love her in all of her projects, though they aren't very major, she managed to make quite a big impression on me. One big example is her being in Bigbang's Haru Haru MV. I betcha dunno! she's the girl who dumped GD for TOP because she was dying of cancer. And, she was in I am Sam, with Top again! Why does she get to film with all the cute idol boys!!!! i'm jealous but i still like her.
Comparing her and Park Shinhye(You're beautiful- Go Minam), I think I would choose MinYoung because she's a much natural actress. Sadly, she's really under-rated..

Song Joongki

The prettyboy who is currently hosting Music Bank and a regular in Running Man. I never really paid much attention to him until after Sungkyunkwan Scandal, I'm really noticing him now! Not only pretty, he's really cute as Goo Yongha in SKK! Brainy, like how he is in Running Man. I love how smart he really is behind the pretty face. He's known as the brain of Running Man, and I never knew that he can act! PD-nims, please give him a bigger role next time! Its sad that he doesn't get a love-line in the show.

Yo Ah In

Surprise cast! He's almost my no. 1, almost winning Micky. I couldnt even remember that he was the young dude in Antique, he's changed soooo much! Manlier, handsomer, and most importantly, I love him all rugged and unshaven in SKK. He's not that attractive when he's all prim and proper as a scholar. He has a nickname of 'crazy horse' because he's doesn't give a sh*t about a single thing in school (the most prestigious school in that era, where you are the king's scholar) but he's a huge softie. awww, dont this kind of character melt your heart. He's a lovable bear who seems harsh on the outside but so caring and considerate. Moon Jaeshin, i'll choose you over SunJoon, much as I like Micky. and sidetrack, he's got such sexy lips!

Ratings: 7.5/10 too much of the historical thing that make me bored.

Personal Taste

When I first started Personal Taste, I was absolutely in love with the show. It felt like "finally a nice show in ages...."

A very light-hearted, hilarious romantic comedy with a super ultra cutie. Lee Min Ho, famously a.k.a Gu Jun Pyo. Seriously, who would have thought he was so cute without the perm. And surprisingly, I liked the female lead, (which i usually don't).. Son Ye Jin is too cute for her age, and quite amazingly, despite the huge age gap, they look compatible.

The front episodes was hooking, it was so hilarious that I could not let myself go to sleep.

Here's the plot:

Jeon Jin Ho is a straight guy who pretends to be gay in order to become Park Kae In's roommate. His hobbies include organization and ironing, and he’s known for his stoic poker face. He’s a stickler for cleanliness, but he also has a talent for figuring out a women’s feelings. Kae In is very trusting even though she has a habit of being betrayed. However that doesn't stop her from giving people the benefit of doubt and Jin Ho is no different. How will Kae In react when she finds out that her gay roommate is not actually gay at all and that he has fallen for her?

Lee Min Ho mistaken as gay??! HOW SAD! At that point in time, I really thought how nice it would be to have a gay bestfriend. Their interactions with each other were so cute.
feels like..

girl : "i like u, but ur gay.."
guy: "i like u, but u think i'm gay.."

awww, and i gotta mention the kiss. the kiss is the best i've ever seen in all kdrama history! the sweet lovey dovey scenes are the best too, i melted so many times. sigh. reasons why i dont need a bf.

until.. it went downcast so quickly that it turned really bad. It was probably because of the tv station strike that the episodes behind were so bad!!

ratings- i'm gonna split them.

ep 1-12 = 9.5/10
ep 13-16 = 4/10

overall: 6.75/10 still very watchable for cutie lee minho.

Oh My Lady!

One of the dramas which I watch to kill time. Yes, it was a time-killer. total waste of time. sorry so suju fans, i like siwon, but this show isn't great at all- to be honest

Oh! My Lady plot

A spunky 35-year-old housewife, Yoon Gae Hwa, takes on the job of manager to prickly top star Sung Min Woo in order to earn enough money to regain custody of her child from her ex-husband. Romantic hijinks and hilarity ensues when they find themselves in an awkward living situation as Min Woo pays Gae Hwa to take care of his daughter, Ye Eun.

The plot reminds me of full-house. a lacking version. I didn't felt the chemistry between both of the main characters. The HUGE age gap was disturbing. Siwon's real age is much younger than his character's age. I was fastforwarding so quickly, i don't really remember what happened. ohwells.

little girl was so cute. and ps. siwon's acting skills still need some improvement. ahhaha

Pasta

Go team Italy!

What an awesome cute cast. Even though they're just a side cast, they're all so drool worthy!

No Min Woo was a drummer from Trax. You know how hot drummers are. He's totally my kind!
Hyun Woo is the cutest guy in the drama. He's so cute, you really really want to pinch his cheeks.
Does such hot guys really exist in the kitchen?

Those are the only two things that are great and the only things I could remember. Kidding, but I did not even finish Pasta. Mainly, its because I don't like ajusshi kind of main character, so he doesnt catch much of my attention. And once again, its the pathetic female role which I'm so bored of. I know it works, like in Personal taste. But they should stop make the female roles look so pathetic!

Sypnosis

"Pasta" covers the dreams and success of a young woman who aspires to become an elite chef at La Sfera restaurant.

Seo Yoo Kyung started her career as a kitchen assistant at La Sfera restaurant. She eventually works her way up to become a chef.

Choi Hyun Wook is the top chef at La Sfera restaurant. He studied the culinary arts in Italy and started out as a chef assistant at a hotel in Sicily. Hyun Wook eventually worked his way up to become the most widely recognized Italian chef in Korea.

Right now, I'm craving for a nice plate of Pasta.

Ratings: 6.5/10. Watchable, for the cuties and the awesome pasta professional cooking.

Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge

I love Kame! I love Perfect Girl Evolution, the manga and the anime. There wasn't any reason not for me to catch this. I remembered telling everyone how excited I was over this show. It was slightly disappointing over the wrong casting of the characters, i know that its hard to find a perfect kyohei, but I still really enjoyed it!

Kame is amazing, but he is just not Takano Kyohei. As much as I love him, its just weird that he's kyohei. I'm not complaining, but the Kyohei in the manga is perfect. So perfect that he could not lead a proper life because of his looks. I really miss Kame and his dramas so much. (sigh, i love everything about him)

Oomasa Aya as Nakahara Sunako was surprisingly good. I seriously thought she would definitely not pull off the role after seeing her in Buzzer beat and mei chan no shitsuji. But she did amazingly great as Sunako.

Tegoshi Yuya as Yuki. He was plain gross. No offence to his fans, he was one of my favourites in NEWS. But he overdid it as Yuki.

Uchi Hiroki as Oda Takenaga. I'm upset over the fact that he was kicked out of NEWS, he's so handsome!

Sypnosis
Blessed with good looks, Takano Kyohei, a college student, is always suffering from the unreasonable behaviour of customers who want him and the sexual harassment of his store manager. Because of his hot temper, he loses his head on this occasion and is fired from his part-time job. Then one day, the glamorous owner, Ms Nakahara proposes, “I’ll give you free board-and-lodging if you can turn my niece, Sunako, into a lady!” Kyohei and Toyama Yukinojo, Oda Takenaga and Morii Ranmaru, the other guys living together in the same boarding house, are enthusiastic, but the person who appears before the four of them is a spooky girl whose hair covers her face and who loves horror and vampires. And so, their tumultuous communal life begins

Ratings: 8/10. Not amazing, but it gets high points for developing the romance between the two leads. ARHHH the kiss the kiss the kiss that you rarely see in jdrama.

Bloody Monday 2

Being a huge fan of Bloody Monday, I was very excited about Bloody Monday 2. However, it left me very disappointed. The cast was great as usual, especially Haruma Mirura, he really was amazing as a young budding actor. Narimiya Hiroki also never failed to leave a great impression for the show. They were the reason why i continued on with the show. It would have been REALLY dull without both of them.

Seriously, season 2 of Japanese seasons really sucks. They should have just stopped at season 1.

Here's the sypnosis,

After a biological terrorist attack kills off the population of a Russian town; Japan's Public Safety Special Third unit, code name THIRD-i, believes that the terrorist organization responsible plans to unleash the same virus known as Bloody X into Tokyo. Subsequently, THIRD-i recruits the help of genius hacker Takagi Fujimaru to find out what happened in the Russia. However, as Fujimaru becomes involved, he soon finds out that he is in over his head and that the terrorist groups influence reaches not only his school but even the police. Fujimaru must now rely on his skill as a hacker to unravel the organizations sinister plot and find out the truth behind "Bloody Monday."

Really weak terrorist plan, the hacking wasn't exciting anymore. The ultimate bad guy was super random (just like the first season). There wasn't a single exciting episode as compared to Season 1, which I mentioned that every episode was more exciting than a blockbuster movie.

Ratings: 5/10. Blah, still watchable. but nothing that jolted me off my seat.

God of Study

I totally forgot that I have not finished this show. That is not a good sign, which meant that the show was very forgettable.

God of study is the Korean version of the famous Japanese Dragon Zakura. If you were to make a comparison among the two shows, I would choose DZ without hesitation. I was placing high expectations on the Korean version because of Kim Sooro. Even though I do not majorly favour him, he's still family.

Summary
Kang Suk Ho is an ordinary lawyer who decides to take up a job at the nearby high school. After seeing the conditions of the school and the poor grades all the students have, Suk Ho decides to create a special class promising admission to the most prestigious college in Korea, "Chun-Ha-Dae University." Five of the most laziest students - Hwang Baek Hyun, Gil Pul Ip, Na Hyun Jung, Hong Chan Doo, and Oh Bong Goo join the class to in order to prove that they can do it with hard work and dedication.

Let's do a comparison of the cast, shall we?

Kim Soo Ro vs Abe Hiroshi (The main teacher)

Abe Hiroshi wins. I feel that Sooro should just stick to his comedy movies. There wasn't much character development and he was really stiff and boring in the drama.

Bae Doo Na vs Hasegawa Kyoko (The female teacher)

Bae Doo Na wins. The Japanese one was way too annoying. Even after so many years, I can still remember her whining.

Yoo Seung Ho vs Yamashita Tomohisa (The main kid- delinquent)

Acting and cuteness wise- Seung Ho WINS. Character wise- Yamapi. Ultimately, I'll still choose Seung Ho, even though he wasn't bad-ass enough, I really liked his role and the way he portrayed his character. He showed emotions, he fell in love and he showed his tears.

Lee Hyun Woo vs Koike Teppei (The music kid)

This role initially belonged to Lee Hongki, but because he took up you're beautiful, it was given to this kid. Initially he was unnoticeable, but over time, he was really cute. However, I've got to give it to Teppei.

Go Ah Sung vs Aragaki Yui (The poor female kid whom yamapi/seungho likes)

I can't choose, I liked neither of them. Go Ah Sung doesn't look too pleasing to the eye, while Yui was too pretty for the role.

Ji Yeon vs Saeko (The rich female kid who likes seungho/yamapi)

Ji Yeon from T-ara wins. I pity Saeko, I've watched so many of her shows but I just could not remember who she is. Ji Yeon was really good considering she's still so young.

Ratings: 5/10. Boring and very forgettable.

Wild Bunny

I have so many dramas on hand currently, but i cant do any updates because I'm currently waiting for the subs. It feels like I've accomplished so many dramas but I can't get to blog about them just because I'm not done yet.

So here's something I've caught a couple of weeks back, Wild Bunny. After the jaebum and 2pm sasaeng fan accounts saga, I decided to watch this despite that I've never been interested in 2pm. Most importantly, it was to check out if the 2pm members were infact 'evil' as rumored.

After episode 1, the reason that made me continued was because I started to gain interest in Jaebum. He was different from the rest of the members. And yes, like the rest of the 9239123921 people who believes him, I've sort of turned into his fan.

It ended at ep 7, due to Jaebum's myspace controversy. There was an ep 8 preview, but I doubt that they would release it.

Ratings: 7/10 Very entertaining. It'll be over so quickly you wish they would air more episodes.

Nodame Cantabile (Movie)

I was so excited about the release of Nodame movie that I rushed to watch it on the opening day. That seldom happens, but I got to say I was really really really disappointed. The only great thing when you're watching it in the theatre is the good sound system whereby you can really enjoy the orchestra.

The drama was one of the best Japanese dramas I've ever seen. Even the special episode was great. Sure, the movie had many hillarious scenes of Ueno Juri as Nodame which is worth watching, but whatever they were trying to drive in the movie was SO DRY! chiaki trying to raise up a broken orchestra, blah blah, nodame continuing her studies in paris. blah blah. thats all.

I'm not going to mention the ending of the movie. But comparing the endings of the drama and the Europe special episode, this has to be the worst ending.

Ratings: 5/10. Plus points for Ueno Juri.

Autumn's Concerto

From my last post, I swore off from watching TWDramas. But here I was, I think this is the best TWDrama I've ever watched. Not one of the best dramas, but among TWDramas, its really good.

Because of Autumn's Concerto, I think Vanness is really cute, and he doesnt seem to age don't he? These days, it seems like the TWdramas are having the old sappy KDramas storyline. -> Memory loss, a love child, being able to find each other again after years of separation. But you know me, I'm a sucker for tear jerking storylines.

Sypnosis (From dramawiki)

Ren Guang Xi, a cocky law student, seems to lead the perfect life. He's the sole successor to a huge and famous business and a talented ice hockey player. But in reality, his lonely life lacks joy, laughter and motivation. That is until he meets Liang Mu Cheng, the new bento seller at his school canteen. Although orphaned at a young age, Mu Cheng does not let her past affect her and lives life with great passion and determination. A harmless bet brings the two together and Guang Xi slowly changes as Mu Cheng teaches him how to give and love. Tragedy strikes when Guang Xi suddenly has to go through a major brain surgery which causes him to lose his memory. His mother begs Mu Cheng to leave him and the latter has no choice but to do so. Little does she know that she already has Guang Xi's child.

Six years pass. Mu Cheng lives a quiet life with her young son in the countryside while Guang Xi is now a successful lawyer and is engaged to He Yi Qian, the kind and beautiful doctor who took care of him after his surgery. A strangely familiar piano piece stirs Guang Xi's heart as he struggles to recall his past romance with Mu Cheng. How will the couple make up for six years of lost time? Happiness, which stop do I alight at?

Every scene was really good, there wasnt any part which I really wanted to fastforward.

Ratings: 9/10 (a must watch TW Drama. this show has got really good ratings in TW!)

Gokusen The Movie

I'm over and done with Gokusen. Forever and ever. I love the cast but hate the repetitive storyline, same music whenever Yankumi comes out to fight(must have been the 50th time)- its looks cheesier than a power ranger fight.

How can something this cheesy survive for 3 seasons and 1 movie? Only one thing- the cast. The cute johnny boys. and nothing else. I'm not going to bother about the storyline, because its all the same.

But, here's the yummy people who appeared in the movie.

Firstly, its KAME. the main reason why i'm keen.

Kazuya Kamenashi as Ryu Odagiri. (He was soooo hot!! not much acting required though. aish.)

and the rest from SEASON 2
  • Teppei Koike as Keita Takeda (used to think he was really cute.. but didnt feel anything for him)
  • Mokomichi Hayami as Hikaru Tsuchiya (robot main guy in absolute bf)
  • Keisuke Koide as Kosuke Hyuga (handsome dude from rookies, some robot movie)
SEASON 3

  • Yuya Takaki as Yamato Ogata (a johnny boy from say hey. darn cute- reminds me of jin!)
  • Haruma Miura as Ren Kazama ( u'll definately know him. the amazing rising young star- bloody monday)
SEASON 1 (really brief)

  • Shun Oguri (小栗 旬) as "Uchi" / Haruhiko Uchiyama (yea, u'll kno him)
  • Hiroki Narimiya as Takeshi Noda (AIGOO! I SCREAMED WHEN I SAW HIM! I HAD NO IDEA HE WAS IN SEASON 1!!!!!)
And u can't forget there's going to be a new class 3D right?

too bad there was only 1 cute one.

Yuta Tamamori
pardon the wiki photo. he looked like a bad-ass yamapi in the movie. and, expectedly, he's a johnny boy.

Ratings: 6.5/10 surprisingly watchable. Though fastforward rate was 5/10.

Hi My Sweetheart

I'm not done with this show, but I think I'm ready to review this. My first twdrama in probably 2 years. The reason why I watched Hi My Sweetheart was because everyone was talking about it, well maybe not everyone, but I heard that it was a nice show.

Sypnosis
Xue Hai was a certifiable dork when he first arrived in Shanghai. After his schoolmate Bao Zhu saved him from bullying, she became his first love. Then, a misunderstanding caused them to lose contact when she moved back to Taiwan. He thought she dumped him. So he transformed himself from a dork to a hunk in order to seek revenge.

I really liked the storyline. The changing of a nerd to a hunk to seek revenge.. I really love transformations. Episode 1 and 2 was amazing, it kinda blew me away. It was hillarious, Show Luo was hillariously ugly. It was all good and it made me cried alot.. until episode 12. Everything became way too dramatic. In one single episode, there was an explosion, lost of memory, blah blah. But still, as a whole, it's quite a good drama, minusing the overdramatic scenes.

Ratings: 7.5/10

ToGetHer

Only once in a blue moon that I would watch a taiwanese drama. And since I like Rainie Yang, I started watching Hi my sweetheart(i'll blog when it finishes airing!) and while waiting for the show to finish airing, I decided to watch ToGetHer to kill boredom.

Sypnosis
Mars is a superstar whose popularity went downhill after a series of negative publicity. His finances went into red alert and he had to find a new place to live. He ended up renting a place from Mo Mo, his homebody landlord. He befriended her and her childhood friend Jia Sen, a swimming captain with the intelligence of an 8-year-old.

Mars is played by that fahrenheit guy Jiro Wang, and I find in really annoying. It's probably just me, but I couldn't stand the way he spoke.

I kinda liked the storyline, but Rainie was boring, her character was so boring but there were still cute moments when she shook her head with her prince kasaba figurines. First few episodes were good but it went downwards so badly that I fastforwarded from ep 9 onwards. It was too unrealistic, and both of them obviously lack chemistry. After these two tw dramas, I'm going to stay faraway from tw dramas for a long time.

Tokyo Dogs

I was hesitant to begin this drama because Tokyo Dogs is about police detective blah blah.. boring. I hate police detective stories. The plot is weak, each episode is pretty stale. But because Shun Oguri and Hiro Mizushima is working together again, I thought I had to watch this. And for the first time, I'm actually disappointed with Shun Oguri. he never failed to impress me everytime I watch his shows, but for Tokyo Dogs, I was thoroughly disappointed.

As for Hiro, he did okay but still not impressive yet again. His comedic acts were supposed to make people laugh, but his facial hair and jokes did not impressed me.

Summary from wiki
Takakura So witnessed his father's murder at a young age. Pledging to catch the killer, he grows up to become an elite cop in New York City, where the criminal lives. His character is cool-headed and disciplined, yet adapts well. Because of major drug dealings, he gets sent to Tokyo to conduct a joint investigation with the Japanese police. There, he gets teamed up with, Kudo Maruo, a detective from a special investigative division. Kudo is a hot-blooded fighting expert due to his earlier days as a delinquent, but he makes a strong impression with his stylish appearance and is always interested in going on group dates. His personality, interests, and investigation methods are completely mismatched with Takakura's, but the two somehow work together to crack the case they've been given.

Nevertheless, I made through this drama within 2 days and the best part was the really random bickering between the both of them during the weirdest timings.

Ratings: 5/10. BORING. the romance was sucky!

(ps). on the side note: Narimiya Hiroki did a cameo for like a couple of minutes until he killed himself. The moment he died, i felt like crying. He did such a short appearance!!!

Fate/Stay Night

It had been ages since I watched an anime. And Fate/Stay Night is the first action packed anime which involves swordplay that I've ever watched. I've never been interested in fighting anime but the only reason for watching this... i cosplayed saber.

not that i knew her before cosplaying her. but anyway, here's the photos (and probably my first appearance on the blog)

The plot on wiki is really long and I doubt that I would do a good job in summarizing the story, if you're really interested, just jump straight into the anime instead of trying to understand the story before watching.

Surprisingly, I enjoyed it despite it was not my kind of genre. Visuals and graphics are pretty good, but I had no idea why it isn't a really popular series.

Ratings: 7/10. I love it because it was a really short series of 24 episodes. I'll never watch anything with more than 30 episodes.

Negative Happy Chainsaw Edge

Hayato with his worst hairstyle ever. He is always trying out different hairstyles for all his films, but this must be his worst. Anyway, I've reached a conclusion that his dramas are always better than his movies. Not doubting his acting skills, but the movies of his are always lacking.

Summary from wiki
One day, apathetic high school student Yosuke meets a beautiful girl named Eri. Eri does battle every night with an indestructible, chainsaw-wielding maniac, “Chainsaw Man”. As Yosuke and Eri bond, he eventually joins the fight. Features CG effects by the talents behind the “Death Note” series. Based on the best-selling novel by Tatsuhiko Takimoto.

That chainsaw man appears randomly and a school girl have to fight him everyday. Hayato was kinda redundant and stupid.

Ratings: 4/10. Slightly pointless and left me very confused.

Saru Lock

Any show by Hayato Ichihara rarely disappoints. Unlike the character he did in Rookies, he became a crazy monkey in Saru Lock. I'm not quite sure if I like the serious or the silly him but I really like any characters he portray.

Summary from wiki

Sarumaru Yataro, nicknamed "Saru" is an average high school boy who daydreams about idols but otherwise has no luck with girls. While working at his fathers locksmithing business, Saru uses his genius-like lock picking skills to take on dangerous cases.

So the story revolves around him pick locking, involves abit of hentai (but still PG), breaking criminal cases. The storyline sounded alittle stale, but there wasn't any bad dull moments.

Ratings: 7/10. This drama is a little unrated in Japan, just because it isn't a idol-drama.

One million yen girl and the Nigamushi woman

The only main reason for catching this is because of Yu Aoi. The woman whom G-dragon loves. I guess I really like her too.

The storyline is interesting but it moved rather too slowly.

Summary from wiki.

Ratings: 6/10. Fresh, but repetitive.
